My Parents and I

We have this game we play where I pretend they're not going senile, and they pretend I'm not a shiftless layabout.

That's Boston's city hall.

Parts of the building "stick out" according to their function. The more important the room, the further it extends from the main building.

It was designed by IM Pei. The style is known as "Brutalism", from the French word for raw concrete, béton brut.

And this is Atlanta's city hall.

I believe the picture was taken in the 1970's.

Stylistically, it reminds me of the new Treasury building on Peachtree and 10th.

I have less pairs of socks than there are days in the week.

The same is true of pants and t-shirts.

WTF?

Did I use to have more clothes? Where did they all go?

I find this very distressing.
